Qatar Animal Welfare Society is being forced to move out of their shelter after nine long years. To help them out, Neenu's Cakery, a home-based start-up, has come up with a charity sale - 'Qup Qake 4 QAWS'.

We will sell 10 dozen cakes /-a-t-/QR100/dozen. THE ENTIRE proceeds from the sale of the first 10 dozen cakes goes to QAWS. Thereafter, we will donate 55% of each subsequent dozen cakes sold.

Has anyone else visited the QP Environment Fair, which is open to the public starting today until April 16 at the Doha Exhibition Center?

I was there earlier today and was really impressed by the exhibits. There are also lots of activities, including a play that children and their parents would really enjoy.

Check it out! It is on until Tuesday from 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM. You'll get gifts from some of the exhibitors as well.

A very nice way to connect with different African cultures experience African Music, customs 'n old traditions!

I think is a very important event of exchanging of culture, ideas, and goods 'n another milestone for the entertainment/tourism industry in Qatar 'n in achievin that "Globalised community image" 'n I really hope Katara more such colorful events not only for Africa, but also other continents/races from around the globe.

It opened yesterday just a little bit latter than the April 1st opening they were looking for.

Johnny Clegg, a British-born musician from South Africa, is in Doha for the African Festival at the Katara Cultural Village.

Known as "The White Zulu", Clegg is an important figure in South African popular music history, with songs that mix Zulu with English lyrics.

if u dont know how to drive in desert, then go for lc or patrol. thats the best. bcoz its designed for desert and the car will do everything possible to move in the dunes.
so u just drive as if u r on the road.

if ur budget is low.
then x terra, pathfinder, prado, pajero, fj there are plenty of options. u need medium skills

if you are highly skilled.
then even a car is enough. and need not be a 4x4.

A fire started in Sidra hospital project about an hour ago. Some workers may be locked inside. No info yet. Civil Defense arrived on site instantly.

HE Abdulaziz al-Noaimi, the chairman of the NDIA Steering Committee, has announced a delay in the inauguration of the Hamad International Airport to “a future date that will be communicated shortly”.

In a statement issued last night, al-Noaimi said the delay of operations at the Hamad International Airport had occurred due to it not meeting the newly-introduced safety and security requirements of the Civil Defence Department.

“In this context, the NDIA Steering Committee commends the efforts of the Ministry of Interior represented by the Department of Civil Defence for their commitment to raising standards of safety and security in Qatar,” the statement said.
