Brother.... if she is wearing the hump in the hijab as per modern fashion it is Haram, and not only she will be responsible for judgement on this, you will too as now you know it is not allowed and are encouraging this. The Prophet (PBUH) said of women of future generations "women who would be dressed but naked and on top of their heads (what looks like) camel humps. Curse them for they are truly cursed." What he means is that it is not open for discussion as it is haram... something Allah has made Haram for us is not open for discussion as a means of justifying an unlawful behavior. Haram is haram, and we should not question Allahs authority. Hijab is just not a way of covering the hair and body dear brother, it is a complete way of behaving, thinking and maintaining a modest and kind image as to be an example for others. Your wife is for your eyes , why feel good when other people look at her enough to comment that 'she looks Qatari'. Also it may not be a good idea to label this as the "Qatari" look. Many that you see wearing this are not Qatari. Qatari woman are amoung the most pious and respectful here... Answered on Sun, 31/08/2008 - 1:50pm

Up to you brother, check the reference, ask your Imam. It is Haram and you are responsible. It is not a weak hadith, but you seem to want to justify haram behavior. Just because it is not in the Quran doesnt make it Hilal, there are many new Fatwa's concerning many issues all the time. Why dont you also give her a cigarette, that will be very cool... it doesnt say smoking is Haram in the Quran does it? Do you get the point? Answered on Mon, 01/09/2008 - 11:12am

In fact I was asking about the head wearing. The most important thing is to cover the head, they cover their heads well but they do makeup which is not allowed. But their style is good looking and encourage many non-wearing abaya women to wear hijab and abaya. In fact there is a need to control our young growing females scientifically and phychological. They should be proud of their ethical wearings, and dresses. We should not be rigid, human nature is like spring, if you press it hardly it will bounce back to you in double. So make ur females proud, the main thing is to cover them as body shape shoudn't be made. Thats it! Answered on Sat, 30/08/2008 - 4:20pm

Good answer but with one exception, it is haram, which means the "camels hump" is not permissable in Islam. No muslim can say something is OK which God has not permitted. Answered on Sat, 30/08/2008 - 7:42pm

In fact we say HARAM word very easily without giving the reason and reference. For those ppl like me who do not know about this, i.e. camel hump in hijab, your reason and reference is very important. I told you the main concept of Hijab and Abaya; if it is not being fulfilled, that hijab and abaya are not allowed. Now it's becoming the part of culture and moreover, hump is being shown not hair. If you say that it attracts others means shown different then abaya the whole looks different. In shopping mall, who wears abaya looks different and eye-catching. But it doesn't mean that this phenomena is HARAM. But I feel good when anyone say that she looks like Qatari women when he/she looks this style. Although, I am not Qatari but it is a good thing. My Dear, You and me are doing many things as per modern era, there are lot of examples, what you wear, what you drive, what you eat, where do u live, all are of modern era. Are these all HARAM? What do u wear? Is it as per Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH)? If ur answer is this that you are going with time and change then why there are different rules for women? Give me the acurate reference of your quoted Hadith, you heard from some where and did believe on it, have you ever open the Muslim Hadith collection by urself? I am not criticizing you, in fact our discussion or argue what ever you say is the conflict between logic and extreamism. We made our religion too much difficult for young generation and new comers to Islam. We put examples lot of Hadiths but never try to research on it, never try to find them in the collections. If you give me the exact reference then our point of discussion will be changed entirely. I am flexible person, but remember logical. Answered on Sun, 31/08/2008 - 12:47am

In this time of Ramadan, is fashion more important to you? Yes I am wearing as required, I dont even wear designs on my abaya. My concern is what my husband thinks of my beauty, not what all the people on the street who do not know me think. I am unsure of how much more reference you want on the Hadith. Here is another ... Sahih Muslim Book 23, Number 5310: Rasulullah (SAW) said "Two are the types of the denizens of Hell whom I did not see: people having flogs like the tails of the ox with them and they would be beating people, and the women who would be dressed but appear to be naked, who would be inclined (to evil) and made their husbands incline towards it. Their heads would be like the humps of the bukht camel inclined to one side. They will not enter Paradise and they would not smell its odour whereas it odour would be smelt from such and such distance. " It seems perhaps from your post you do not want this type of answer... if you doubt, ask your Imam. Answered on Sun, 31/08/2008 - 9:58am

Asslamo Alaikum, First of all I am sorry that I didn't know that you are a female and I talked to you like male. I didn't say that I like fashion, I said that it shouldn't be appealing. If women tie their hair under hijab, it should be OK. I will ask from my Imam but from which Imam? :) This is again a big problem in us that we have lot of imam and I respect all of them but who should be followed? Thanx for your reference. As 'Good Faith' said that it is not open for discussion. Who decided this that what is open and not for discussion. In Islam, everything is open for discussion. Suppose, if any non-muslim wants to discuss some controversial things to us, what we say that it is not open for discussion in our religion. No we should discuss it, its necessary for our next generation. Answered on Sun, 31/08/2008 - 12:11pm

Sister, It is still open for discussion because it is written in Hadith not in Quran and there are lot of collections of Hadiths. Still there are conflicts between Imaams that which Hadiths are weak and which are strong. Still there are many Hadiths are being found weak now a days. Therefore, I said it is open for discussion. U mentioned a reference, I appreciate it. Again I will say i think it is not prohibited. You cant be save from other's words. If non-muslims see our women, they say, 'see how she covered herself'. Therefore, you cannot stop anyone for commenting. What I saw here, mostly Qatari women wear that type of hijab thats why I asked the question. Answered on Sun, 31/08/2008 - 10:58pm
