What is the procedure to renew the car registration?

Hi there! I would like to know what is the procedure to renew the car registration? Where to pay the insurance amount(QIC)? and what documents are need to do this. My car is just one year old and i guess i don't have to get any road worthy certification. Pls help. Thank you.

Since is 1 year old go to the insurance office, renew the insurance. Use the same insurance company that you used when buying the car.

Then go to the Traffic dept. Kiosk in City Center basement, ask for Car registration renewal, they will ask for ID, car registration, and insurance. If you hve any pendng traffic violation they will probably ask for settlement before issuing new registration. Also you can go to the Madinat Khalifa Traffic Dept for renewal. But remember insurance is a must!!

Pay 100 QAR and then you are set.

to renew istimara ( car registration ) for 1 year car

1. you have to renew you insurance
( if you QIC full insurance, you can go to QIC in corniche beside QP tower. if you third party insurance, you can go to industrial area ( street 43? ) )

2. after that, go to POLICE DEPARTMENT ( i.e mamoura or near airport bringing your insurance renewal copy and your istimara. pay 100QR. no typing form required )
