Which car is better in a budget of 100,000 QR

Which car is better in a budget of 100,000 QR

Hello Folks,
I will be moving to Doha in few months. Wanted to have a know how before I go for a car there. Can anyone suggest me which would be the best car in a budget of 100,000 QR,
Personally I like Nissan Murano but don't know it's price. Also, Mitsubishi Grandis, Honda MRV.

My budget has a little flexibility as well. So, please advise.

I have been told that Qataris prefer Japanese Toyota, the 4500 is their favorite and you will see it all around Doha.
Driving in Doha can be compared as agressive as in New York City, of course without the amount of traffic in such impressive city. But needs to be aware that there's a lot of traffic accidents, and that most of the drivers don't respect while driving, they all seemed to be always in a rush and late.
I have been advised to go for a SUV, I'm personally more attracted to Sedan as I'm used to them, anyhow, in a matter of choices there're a lot to choose from..
The named Murano, seemed not to be the most appreciated, as Toyota again is the most prefered, but I think it's an option, as KIA is.

Regards,

All cars you have mentioned are in the range of 125K plus. (I'm not so sure about Grandis). However, if you have a range of 125K plus, it is better to go for a Toyota Prado since it is not only an excellent car but also has a very good resale value. YOu can also go for a Pajero which also comes almost in the same price range as others.

There are a few nice cars around for that price range, assuming your looking for a 4 x 4 with off road in mind?

Unfortunately, follow up service once you have left the showroom is pretty dismal with all the major dealerships here in Qatar.

Some can also be expensive to maintain/service. From my experience of what I have heard over the years, is that you should take a serious look at the Hyundai range. They have several 4 x 4 on the market under QR100,000 and are known to be very reliable and inexpensive maintenance/servicing costs.

i cant say anything bad for Hyundai. We own 7 yrs old santa fe and 5 yrs old Matrix and so far it is trouble fee and low cost in maintenance.

If we going to renew our cars again, we will go for another Hyundai.

If you talking about service, there are no good service in Doha. Even you own Lexus you will not get a better service than Hyundai.

I come across one of QL'er private blog ... What he wrote there just about to summoned up nearly every service centre in Qatar :

The worse thing here in Qatar is car maintainance and there is no exception since you will have to wait too long. I had a Pajero before and I did not experience any problems except the high price of spare parts. I am using a Kia Sorento now and really it looks good so go for a Korian SUV which is better in price and same quality as Japaneese cars.

Actually the experience I had with BMW was really very good, both at the Landmark (routine) service centre and at the Industrial area.

Go German - far better in every way than Japanese!
