Can you buy a 3G PCMCIA card for a laptop in Qatar or can I get a generic adapter and use a QTEL 3G card?

Hi, I believe Vodafone is due to launch a 3G mobile broadband card in the next couple of months (I am using a Vodafone SIM with the free 300MB of mobile internet to write this with my Nokia E71 tethered). I think Qtel has a service in the market now, you will need to ask others how good the service is. Answered on Sat, 31/10/2009 - 10:24pm

hi ..both are available and you may use them .. Q-tel is having USB adapter where you can use your sim card and browse the net .. its available with all leading IT shops in qatar .. apart from Q-tel ones, there are Promate and D-link brands also available ..so you may choose any of these .. (I have seen them in PCone, Located in Salwa road, near Midmac Bridge) and for the data usage, Q-tel is offering Unlimited broadband(HSDPA) for 400QR/Monthly .. check it out :) Answered on Sun, 01/11/2009 - 12:37am
