You can download any/all a/v software from the web, usually with a 30 day trial, however to be effective you must update it regularly - this is where you will have to pay.

If you are too cheap to protect your own PC you will get all you deserve!

Try avira antivirus. I have been using it for a while now and its good. The only draw back is that it keeps asking you for upgrading to the paid services.

I would recommend AVG and Avast as the best two! you can get both (or more) from www.download.com

I have been using AVG, the free version on all my computers ever since 2000, and maybe even before that, and I am very happy with it,

I put it on automatic update
and rest in peace...

Just make sure you have one and only one antivirus software on your PC..
