Is WiFi phone useful ?

Is WiFi phone useful ?

I am planning to buy a WiFi enabled mobile phone (E65). Is it of any use in Qatar ? Can I use it to make free international calls ? What exactly is the advantage of WiFi ?

Yes it is. I'm gonna get my hands on a Sony Ericsson W960i to abuse my wi-fi at home and wi-fi spots outside.

Yes, htere is lots of WiFi zones in Qatar and at QR20per meg from Qtel its really worth is. its fast and move stable than wap.

of kors it is very useful..
i have my HTC kaiser which i love so much:-)
about international calls, you can make use of SIP or call to computers free to anywhere using skype or google talk.

i am using fring for that, and with a wifi connection i can chat or voice chat to my friends for free.

Wifi Access on the phone is the cheapest way of accessing Internet. As you can access the Internet you could use the email and chat facilities and also use the browser to access web contents. You could register with a VOIP service provider and then use a VOIP client to make long distance calls at a cheaper rate. Most of the New phones come with a lot of applications which need Internet access to provide you information about weather, News, Stock Markets etc.

in my opinion, a phone should be:

1: Simple
2: Beautiful and attractive
3: Should have a standard camera
4: Easy to use
5: and yah, Bluetooth as well
6: It should have enough memory to store your favourite tracks

there's no need of other things in a cell phone such as wifi, gps....etc etc
