Processor

Hello,
Can any body give me expert advice.I have machine Acer B300,speed 2.4 MHz.
Mother board ID L4S5MGX.
can Iinstall procesor of some higher speed on same board.

you can install or upgrade only up to 533mhz processor bus speed, if you have plan to upgrade using prescott model of processor like pentium 4 3.0ghz 1mb/ 800fsb will not support.

Unless you were upgrading to a 3.0 Ghz process it wouldnt really be worth the hassle
You'd see more performance increase if you upgraded your ram if its low e.g to like 2 GB would be a great performance increase over 512 or even a GB due to most applications these days requiring so much memory to run smoothly and upgrading the ram is an easy task.

you can , but first check the web site of the motherboard if your model supports new processor you plan to install ,,,
