I am due to start in Qatar for an Investment Bank at start of July. Any advice/friendships most welcome. What are the pros and cons of living over there for 1 year or so? I am from North West England about 10 miles from Liverpool (St Helens)

Qatar is a small and quite nice a place to live in with 15% local & 85% expatriates... Except for the crazy drivers... and some a little odd rules... But definitely being here it gives us opportunity to get to know a entirely different culture... Thats amazing... and they have a lot of traditions and history to see and understand...!! I am now here for almost 6 months... But for sure I wont stay more than another year.... Thats my personal choice... but there are many people who came here 20 - 30 yrs ago and have stayed back since then... All depends you see!! If you are coming in July be ready for the heat... and a walk through the King Sized hand dryer....lol... But people are saying its gonna become humid too... well, have to wait to know...!!

Dont worry .... Just come over...

Welcome to Qatar
