QL is a great place to 'meet' new people! Depends whether your question is directed at evening social gatherings, if so then you'll find many people frequent Garvey's, popular with expatriates from Uk, US, Europe etc Also depends where you are living, with some places you have natural magnets such as communal swimming pools & such like, heath clubs & gyms. That depends where you have recently arrived from, I came from 3 years in Nigeria so my first month here has been looking at the amazing malls, driving along the Corniche and admiring the view, learning my way around., I LOVE IT. Also there are different groups, American, British, Latino....etc you can join them or go to monthly coffees, lots advertised on this site.
