So, as a single woman who knows no one there

So, as a single woman who knows no one there

is it impossible for me to go out to a bar for a drink alone? Would I be turned away? Would I be asking for trouble? Will it be unsafe? How about if a few girls go out without the menfolk?

it will not be impossible for you to go out for a drink alone. u can be allowed entry at bars even if you are alone. about trouble, well i think guys here always try to make advances more aggresively so it's nicer if you have company. about girls only out, that sounds fun. it's fine here..

What i have seen in the bars here is, if you are a girl & going there alone. 100% of men will approach you in a disgusting manner one worse than the other.

Nikired, I wouldn't advise going alone to bars here. Ew. But don't worry, lol, you'll find LOTTTTTS of folks here on QL who would be happy to go have a drink with you (guys and girls)!

Hi there.
I'm a single girl here in Doha and can tell you do get approached pretty much everywhere, in traffic, in the malls, but its not 'aggressive' and so its tolerable. Doha is remarkably friendly and open - so don't worry about things and just enjoy the experience. All the best. K

Maybe cause I am a guy my answer is waaaay different. From what I see this place is awesome for girls. You don't pay entry anywhere, there are always enough guys to buy you huge amounts of drink and you have an unbelievably varied selection of men!
And honestly, I have seen many, many girls refuse guys and the guys were all gentlemen and backed off! (Though I am sure as a woman I would feel differently)
