Is carlift legal or illegal here in Qatar?

what i mean is transporting a stranger or passenger other than taxi and a bus to their desired destination with payment of course. what about those carlift driver asked for a fare more than that of a taxi or a bus even if it is near?

thanks ashley.:) hehehehe you have a great sense of humor and i know when car lift people will see you then it's free.

then what about a car lift who will asked indescribable money even in a short distance? are you going to argue with them or tell the authorities? to whom we will complain? any idea?

Even free car lift is illegal and it is dangerous specially if you meet with an accident and God forbid anything happens to that person you will have to pay insurance.

Even free car lift is illegal and it is dangerous specially if you meet with an accident and God forbid anything happens to that person you will have to pay blood money to the next of kin.
