Need road map for doha to suhar oman trip? also the formality for this trip

I need to travel form doha to oman suhar by my tida car. I it advisable to go by car. How much it will cost? How much time it will take? other tips

If you plan for Salala, i would join for next Eid holidays. Every one say it is Swiss of Middle East.

we too planning to go to salalah, muscat and uae by road start by 18 oct 12 and return by 29 oct 12..around 3-4 cars will be there..interested can join
