Obtaining Driving license

Karwa Driving School is the best one now. Results per centage also good from Karwa. But may be little costlier than other driving schools. You have to take papers from your company and go to traffic for eye test and then go to Karwa (Street No.38) for registration.

Now Karwa requires their students to be assessed and take eye test from the Traffic Dept. It's their new policy I believe, since issues come up due to high passing percentage of their students.

Get assessed and know your course, then register with them.

They should substantially increase the cost of driving test in Qatar, there are far too many Indians and Sri Lankans driving here who have no idea how to drive, sitting in the middle lane at 20kph below the speed limit, why? I have asked this question to an Indian Kharwa taxi driver, his reply, 'We are taught this way (by Indians) because it is the safest way', I explained to him that it may be the safest way for him but it is extremely frustrating for other drivers.
Why don't these people understand that they should use the inside lane when driving slowly, it is common sense of which it appears from these people is sadly lacking.
Please, please, please do not take your driving test, enough clueless drivers around without you adding to them.

In civilised countries, the inner lane is the right lane (for LH drive cars), the outer lane is the fast lane, I should have realised before I wrote that not everyone reading these posts is from a civilised country.
