Fanar is free for conversational Arabic but they may not have a course right now. Whatever you do, if you want to speak Arabic, take conversational, colloquial khaleeji Arabic (Gulf Arabic), Do not get sucked into reading and writing.

Welcome Paul, If you would like to read a book i can send you a soft copy by email. The best book to learn arabic from english. After learning basic you can join a conversational course that would help you a lot.
