Can anyone tell me what the best area is for reasonably priced 2 bedroom accommodation for British expatriates

There are lots of good places in lots of good areas. Not many places in Doha you wouldn't stay.

Reasonably priced? uuuh.... nah. But Al Sadd is indeed a good area. However you could also try the flats at Riviera Gardens, lovely (and got to say old but made in the days that things meant to last longer) compound near Land Mark.
