Yes, its called Qbay www.qbay.com

I was wanting the same thing. I contacted them this week the site is going to launch next week.

I cant wait!

My auntie applied for job there. office is next to Salam Tower on Corniche. she said Qbay.com was having delay getting their Qatari commercial license to open to the public. Something to do with Qatari ecommerce laws were being re-drafted. We shall see. I'm looking forward to it myself.

WOW ! ebay in Qatar! BRILLIANT!!

So they will be trading under the name qbay.com ?

I guess that makes sense, qbay for Qatar!! Thats a brilliant idea!

I cant wait for it to open. I've been here for 3 years and have been waiting for something like this.

I just looked at www.qbay.com but its not selling anything yet?

So does anyone know when I will actually be able to sell stuff on it???

Kim,

That front page at Qbay is just a place holder.

Like people have said they will open in a week.

They will be a legitimate business Qatari entity to offer protection for the buyer and seller similar to eBay. Offer a payment service between buyer and seller. Delivery liaison service. I would not be surprised if eBay bought-out qbay in couple years from now.

I would be wary of other companies Not based in Qatar, such as ewset trying to do the same Ive seen a couple of these sites get blocked by Qtel from request of ministry of commerce over the years. They don't even draw the right amount or traffic to make it worthwhile to post your things on them. they they are not Qatari entities or have legal presence here. PlanetQatar was one of them that was forced to shut down.

Goodevening mates, well there is a another site that is going to startup, www.buycon.com, catchy line for the site.. "Where buyers connect!" really neat, any idea where is it goin to start?? i think there was a date mistake well, im waiting :)

ye..heard of buycon..unlike ebay dey hav free product listing and registration 4 sellers around d world, payments made only via Paypal,...
