salary -Please advise

Hi i'm from kuwait, i got offer from qatar. 8000 Qr bascic salary + 5000Qr housing allowence + 2000 living cost + Car with full expenses + 30days paid leave + yearly ticket for wife and maximum 2 kids. I'm an engineering graduate (electronics & communication) with 6 years experience in low voltage systems.
Please tel me is it resonable package. what is the rent for 1BHK flat in Garaffa or near qatar foundation?
After my contract period they will give NOC or not?
how much QR is required to buying household items?

dear out of this 15000 QR you will spend QR 8000 as a complete living expence per month, but consider if you have two kids in school then you have to spend more about 1500 QR / month on their education and other things. rest all depends on you and your wife how you like to spend. if you go daily for a dinner to five star definately this will be finished and if you both will think in a real sence you will save minimum every month a 6000 QR for sure.

Any ways best of luck, qatar is a better place to live in any other GCC country, no match in life style

Its a good offer..no need to think twice as qatar is the bet place to work and earn a good standard life.

u can get a nice accomodation near gharaffa less than the amount u have mentioned..

that package is ok atleast.. but here living cost is really high. U may find 1Bed room flat at nearly 5 - 7K / month.

and about the living cost.. do search in QL.. There is a good post explaining the details.

NOC and other things, you should clarify with ur company before moving to qatar.

I CAN GUARENTEE ONETHING.. YOU WILL FIND NICE PEOPLE AROUND.. EVEN THE LOCALS ARE NOT LIKE KUWAITI.. THEY ARE REALLY GOOD

It is a decent offer, though you can try to bargain and ask for a bigger rental allowance. The rents are coming down....you should get a 1BHK for 5K....Kuwaitits are very arrogant but the Qatari are helpful and decent except for the oldies who still haven;t digested the idea of the migrant influx happening in Qatar....!!

household items.....> electronics more or less the same price as in Kuwait....Furnitures, you do have a market like the Friday market in Kuwait..where you can get a gud bargain......

Hi

your salary is more than enough to work ourside the oil and gas industry, well as i notice you need to convence them to shoulder all the school expences i mean education, well near garaffa is mostly if you can get 2.5 to 3 thousand riyals is not bad rent for a month for 1BHK. at least you have a car and its closer to the 2 supermaket one is Landmark and the other one is City Center.
