Exit permit need for visit visa !

Exit permit need for visit visa !

My mother travelling today to india ,she has on visit visa and i heard from my few friends that she will required an exit permit to travel.Is it new rule??? When i enquired with airport immigration they saying its only required for males...?I am totally confuse in this. Anybody experience the same?Kindly share ur experience in this !

I think she does need one. Couple of months back I faced this problem at the airport when my children were returning. They were stopped by the immigration people at the airport. I then ran to the immigration office located within the airport premises and had the exit permit issued from there. It took just ten minutes to get this permit and cost me QR10 for each passport. I suggest you go to the immigration office at the airport before you go to the airline to get your boarding pass.
