Travelling to Cuba

Travelling to Cuba

My sister and I want to travel to Cuba for the Christmas and New Years holiday and I was wondering if it was safe for us to travel alone you know with regards to the hurricane season (if its over or not).
And does anyone know any Qatar based travel agents that could arrange the trip or something because honestly planning this trip has been a nightmare for me!
One more thing, if anyone got to go to Cuba I’d love to hear ur opinion about the country and people, we are planning it as a cultural/ educational tour so we wont be going to the beaches etc, so other than the beaches what do you think of Havana??

Best possible time of year to visit the tropics in my opinion. I used to live in that region and you have zero risk of hurricane. Hurricane season in the carribean is June 1st to November...there has never been a strong hurricane in even November, so you'll be safe from that.

Otherwise the weather will be extremely pleasant, likely 75-80 (excuse my fahrenheit), but might be low 70s too. I remember some christmas times where we had to don sweaters...even in the tropics! But if its chilly it certainly won't be cold...just brisk. So make sure to pack a jacket and maybe a sweater.

Feel free to message me if you have any other climate questions...i can't be too cuba specific b/c i haven't been...but i know the caribe!

I’ve been there few times. It’s very cheap from Canada. For all inclusive package (flight, resort, food, drinks, entertainment, services) for 1 week you pay around 500-600 bucks. That’s what we do during the winter: we “break” the winter by escaping to Cuba, Dominica, Bahamas, Hawaii…
So, Cuba.. while you are inside of resort you are fine. Services are good, plenty of food and drinks, entertainment, dance floors, bars, etc. They arrange the tours to the "must see" spots as well , for extra charge...Once you are out to the town, the picture is different. You will see a lot of poverty, dirt and misery. But people are very very nice and friendly. A lot of very pretty, accessible and accommodating girls around. BTW, that’s why single guys love to travel to cuba: cheap trip + cheap gorgeous sexy friendly girls..
in any case you will have a fun, since people there are Fun Lovers.. :)
