Bank balance for Schengen visa?

How much balance do you need to have in your bank account to apply for schengen visa from German or other embassies? please advice.

Embassy will check that you are settled here. they will ask your bank statement and see that what regular income you have.It is not matter that what balance you have, because their concern is you will not increase population of unwanted immigrants in their country. If you have decent job,good living standard, it means you will return to this country.
