Can i travel if my Residence Visa n Qatar is not yet transferred on my new passport?

I have just renewed my Passport but my Residence Visa (which s still valid unti May 2010) is still stuck in my old Pssport, not yet transferred on my newly issued Passport.

Can I travel out and back to Qatar?

Thanks for the help guys.

Cheers!

If the current (valid) RP is still in your old passport, then I suggest stapling the two passports together and just carrying them like that until time for a new RP.

you must transfer your resident permit on your new passport before travelling.

you can carry your old passport and the new along to travel till the time resident permit is transferred. No worries. its a universal phenomenon. Thats why you would have sometimes wondered why some pople carry two passports stapled together. Its exactly what ummjake had told.

YOU CAN BUT I PREFER U TRANSFER IT TO D NEW PP.
COZ ONE OF MY EMPLOYEE WAS HELD BACK AT AIRPORT, AND STRUGGLED A LOT TO GET RID FROM IT, THEN WE WENT OUT TO MEET THE OFFICER INCHARGE ON THE NEXT BUILDING TO AIRPORT WERE VISA EXTENSION &ALL DONE. GIVING AN EXCUSE MOTHER NOT WELL. USUALLY IT TAKE ONLY 2DAYS MAX I THINK TO TRNFR TO NEW PP

STAPLED PP DOESNT WORKOUT ITS TRIED BY US, SO I SUGGEST YOU DONT STRUGGLE AT THE LAST MOMENT,

bEST OF LUCK
