If the current (valid) RP is still in your old passport, then I suggest stapling the two passports together and just carrying them like that until time for a new RP. Answered on Sat, 07/11/2009 - 2:32pm

you can carry your old passport and the new along to travel till the time resident permit is transferred. No worries. its a universal phenomenon. Thats why you would have sometimes wondered why some pople carry two passports stapled together. Its exactly what ummjake had told. Answered on Sat, 07/11/2009 - 3:18pm
