company denying exit permit
I had worked for a comapany on work visa for only 2 months & have resigned. the contract was not signed & RP was not processed. but the company is denying my exit permit , & wants me to do RP & then cancell so that there wud be a ban of 2yrs. I have gone for the help of labour dept & they have advised the company to issue exit permit without ban. But still the company is playing around by dragging the issue & not yet issued Exit permit. So I have to file a case in labour court.
Any one has any info how long the labour court might take to resolve a case. means how long it might take for hearing the case & then the judgement.
can anyone advise??

You might want to consult with an attorney who specializes in Qatari labor law. Not only can they give you a better idea of a realistic timeframe, their involvement may help influence the company’s desire to issue the exit visa. Answered on Wed, 19/11/2008 - 6:10pm
