Family visa validity

Family visa validity

I want to know from knowledgable person who can clear my doubt that family visa is valid for 180 days or 6 months from the date of exit. Thanks in advance.

If i understand ur question clearly, then the answer is that the resident permit i.e family visa becomes invaLID IF THE PERSON DOES NOT RETURN TO QATAR WITHIN 180 DAYS.

For famiyl visas, the same can be extended for another 180 days, if u request the immigration with some valid reason, i.e children being educated outside Qatar etc.

As per the present Immigration procedures, whether it is Family visa or Work Visa, it will become invaid if the person stays outside Doha (though he/she got R.P. for more period) and does not return back within 180 days from the date of exit.

If there is more than 6 months stay is planned/required, then the employer/sponsor must pay penalty of QR. 500/- at Airport Immigration (also should fill some application with a valid reason) then another 6 months grace period can be granted.
