Is it illegal to apply for a job when on visit visa?
One of my friend is here in Qatar on a 6 months visit visa and working in a site temporarily and it finishes on this 10th. Whether he can apply for a job listed in a Qatar daily? Is it illegal?

actually this is the reason why the government suspended issuing Visit visas lately... just because of people like yourself. Visit (tourist) visa is given for the purpose of tourism, and ONLY. The government of any country in the world expects the income from tourism... but what is happening here is people come to qatar with tourist visa, don't invest a penny into the qatari economy, try to stay here in any possible, often semi-legal, way... Qatar doesn't benefit from this type of "tourists". that's why it is illegal. And that's why again, lately government stopped issuing visit and tourist visas... who's to blame??
