visa issues
Hello, good day. I just want to ask some question. I worked in Qatar under personal sponsorship (maid's visa) after being in qatar for less than 2 years i go back to my country and canceled my maid's visa. I found a job as a secretary and since my visa is not transferable my sponsor just canceled my visa and then gave me an NOC, is it enough for the new company to get me a working visa? and how long is the processing? thank you very much.

Yes, if the NOC states that you can transfer sponsorship. Have an Arabic-reading person translate your NOC. Processing usually takes 1-2 weeks depending on the company's mandoop. you will still undergo the same procedure of medical exam. Answered on Sat, 11/10/2008 - 8:46am

I think NOC is enough. but your new company should have approval for taking visa for your nationality & profession, as they will be availing a new visa for you not like a release transfer from one company to another. Answered on Sat, 11/10/2008 - 11:07am
