Al Jazeera Newsroom in Doha Attacked (Virtually)
Crazy...it seems that someone created a replica map of the AlJazeera Newsroom (the Doha one) and posted a video of the Marines shooting it up.

yep ...Definitely looks like Al Jazeera newsroom. I wonder whether it was a custom map created by a gamer, or whether it's really part of the game.

It looks quite a lot like ...It looks quite a lot like the Al Jazeera Arabic-language channel newsroom, from the balcony, round desk layout, side offices, down to the colors on the screen hanging from the ceiling.
They reported on it yesterday, roughly saying: The “Call of Duty” is a US DVD game marketed to the world by the US Infinity Word company. Apparently, the game looks the same as its counterparts, as the theme depicts fighting skills and hunting down enemies.
But the said game shows war heroes while hunting terrorists, before reaching and attacking a TV channel which is purportedly representing a "mouthpiece for terrorism".
Ironically, the backstage of the military operations bears relatively an exact resemblance to Al Jazeera Channel and its newsroom setup.

is AlJazeera... ...that big round hanging video screen is what the arabic channel used to have in the middle of there studio. it was signature piece i think...

Its from Call of duty 4 ...And it looks striking like a cross between the English and Arabic buildings, lighting rigs are the same etc etc, its definitely Al Jazeera. Can't wait for the game. Its supposed to be excellent.

I think thats outrageous ...If that is the case and Al Jazeera has been replicated on this game..I personally think that's terrible especially with the current climate of the western powers that be being anti Al Jazeera. If the shoe was on the other foot and it was a game with say CNN studio's and Arabs doing the shooting it would be seen as outrageous and an incitment of terrorism.
Read between the lines of this game!!

scmasse n gypsy ...wwell, hows this - the COD4 storyline is of the US n british forces attackin an "un-named" middle east country in the fight against terrrorrrrr!! ...this particular level consists of u trackin down a terrorist called "al-asad", who is broadcasting from a TV studio in the above-said country... u have to enter the TV staton, finish everyone ther while u r lookin for "al-asad", then u discover that the broadcast is through a video tape! .... hmmm, does all this sound familiar? ...tune up the audio in the u-tube link, and u will hear arabic in the back-ground. add to it the colors, ceiling-screen, and the layout... only one TV station comes to my mind : THE AL JAZEERA.

but doesnt puttin these "obvious" locations affect the viewpoint of the GAMER? ("they" r bad, all of them shud be killed)..
jus imagine the reaction if an arab company would come out with a game blowing up "western" (but un-named) cities and kill their leaders? then it would be called "supporting terorism"
jus tryin to draw parallels, no conclusions.

I know this all stems from the "story" that Bush wanted to bomb Al-Jazeera (by the way, I am convinced that Bush had no clue where Al-Jazeera was even headquartered...since he has no clue about most things) but I admit that the backstory and the names used sound suspiciously like Qatar.
Being a gamer I just hate it when people try to read into (see what they want to see) a game.

tahir.mehboobs ...Because the Al Jazeera camera crew are trying to film the shootout and they are getting caught in the crossfire of both sides. The voices is a mixture of the terrorist giving orders and the camera crew...
