Why am I here in Qatar?

you're still young, you have a long journey awaits you. After completing mid school, you can take your residency in paris . France have one of the best health system in the world.Not only you'll learn a new language , you'll publish your thesis by then in French. you can have your drive though Europe by then ;)

It's funny that u mentioned Paris, Genesis. Actually after going there this summer, I now want to live there for a while after finishing med school and internship. I loved the city, its people, its history, its lifestyle, oh and not to forgot those yummy morning croissants! Ah I got excited just thinking about it! :D

And Darude...we both know I would kick ur ass :P

I am in Qatar to look for CORNE

It's strange that I meet a lot of people who have been both to Egypt and France but hated the people there. There must be a connection somewhere.

As for life in Qatar, when I come back from a trip home to London, I do say to myself apart from the financial advantage there's absolutely nothing more for me to see in Qatar but then I see it as an opportunity to save some money and maybe go elsewhere, but then again most western expatriates will not find the jobs with the same salaries in the West and will miss the tax exemption and free rent (for most) we enjoy here. Another thing worth mentioning is the relative safety of the place (except for the crazy driving).

Life is good in here so good that we all have been addicted where else can u get to do the following
1. Be a volunteer in the Asian Games
2. Get to learn new skills, hobby, language etc.
3. Relax with friends after work or weekends ( not possible any where else as all r busy)
4. Work & chat at the same time
5. Be in QL n chat to glory with your friends
these r just some few advantages

The French are everything but alright, especially if you have a non-western Christian name. Of course there are exceptions to this but do you think that last year's riots were sparked up by anything other than the mistreatment of minorities.
Here's a question, why do most illegal and legal immigrants aim to go to the UK even though they are already on French soil? even the ones from French speaking countries! France's beautiful has a lot of history ( although most of it is bloody) it's a place to visit but not place to live. That's why young French excecs leave France for Canada, US and UK.

As for being here, I was talking about myself, just ended up using "u" cause u asked the question. But if u think about it, we all made the choice of coming here...sometimes it feels like the best choice and other times (LIKE NOW) it feel like the bad decision.

haha im in qatar cause it just happened....... i really dont have alot of say in the way my life plays out...

(not cause of the dude with the big G on his shirt. Or A. or B. or whichever deity i feel like following for the day... but mainly cause of pure random possibilities slightly affected by subconcious touches....)

that all we foreigners are here because of the money. we want to save money to enjoy life later. thats the ultimate truth. we couldnt get or save that much money in our home country that we can do by living here in qatar

maybe i ll save but dont think it worths loosing my best years here:P

I would like to say that the girls/women in Doha are so so so so….. Lucky especially the expacts (Europeans, Americans, Lebanese, Jordanians, Egyptians and so on…. )

And why is that??

Coz these women in their original countries don't have market (most of them, the single ones) and they come across, the percentage of men is very high according to them, it is like each 10 men have 1 woman… and imagine !!!?!?!?
Qatar is women's heaven where she can have successful and good-looking men without effort, again if we take the percentage chart:
Let is say if a woman has 2.5 over 10 she can easily has a man with 7.5 over 10 where in her country she barely see a man.

It is really awkward don't you think?!?!?
