SMS alerts on road diversions for Doha residents
Previously I complained about the traffic situation in Doha. To alleviate the problem the Public Works Authority in Qatar, Ashghal has has just launched an SMS alert service to help residents navigate all the diversions caused by the road works.
You can sign up here for the alerts. Registered users will be notified of road works one week prior to them starting.

traffic too ...I've heard that the traffic department or other will apply the same system to inform drivers about places that has traffic jams.
I like the system MOI has "Metrash" that informs the subscribes about their traffic violation, renewal dates for
ID Card, residency, etc
