Holiday Festivities - Water Circus
By qatari on Sun, 06/11/2005 - 12:56amThe Eid Holidays are here and Doha has lots going on. We went to the Water Circus next to the Diplomatic Club (West Bay area) - it was good fun for the kids. And this circus was much better than the one they had during the Summer Wonders Festival. Some of the acts we caught were the Trapeze Artists, Clowns, Hoola Hoop and Snake shows. The show starts at 8pm and finishes at 10pm.
Here are some more pictures from the Circus.
Have you attended any of the festivities around town? Register (it will only take a minute and it's free) and share your experiences (and photos).

The Cultural Village will present a cross-section of national life, both past and present. A traditional wedding ceremony will be enacted daily and a Qatari family will host guests in a traditional home, preparing and serving local delicacies, according to Gulf Times.
"The Qatar Cultural Show will be presented four times daily at different shopping malls as well as outdoor venues. Both productions are to highlight aspects of Qatari culture, from architecture to cuisine and theatre to traditional games."

Qatar Handbook and things to come
By qatari on Fri, 21/10/2005 - 12:36amI've just added a section called the "Qatar Handbook". It's just a start and currently contains some basic information about Qatar (including history, politics, economy and so on). The idea is for the handbook to expand to include all the reviews and information that you contribute to the site! This means that if you blog a review of a resturant it will get added to the handbook.
