Can anyone kindly recommmend the best places to go - I am after an LCD or plasma TV.

Sharp (Al Muftah-Sadd) and Sony (Modern Home) make very good LCD TVs.
Philips (Al Mana) is innovation.
For the cheapest try LG (Jumbo) and Samsung (Techno Blue-The Center).

I don't know if you find already your Flat screen (Plasma or LCD), but the cheapest place for me remain the Carrefour.
An example : LG 37" LCD at Video Home (Jumbo Qatar - Official LG dealer) 10,000 vs Carrefour 7,500 for the same model, delivered at your home by Jumbo Qatar.
