PWB78 ...My comments were not meant for everyone but for certain individuals who like making fun of other cultures and religions. Some individuals on this thread made fun of Arab dresses and suggested that it's time for a change and that they adapt to the western dress. I am not an Arab but I find it very insulting to make fun of such things. * Respect others *

Not sure if I absolutely love Qatar at this point but I have been to Doha and Dubai many years ago and I liked the fact that its not as hectic as L.A. I know it has changed a lot since then.

I do not like transportation ...I do not like transportation here. However, you could drive in the middle lane, be an early bird, wear seat belt, have children seats, & avoid being fast (& maybe buy big car four wheel drive).
If you really want to come to learn about Islam, learn some Arabic, experience another part of the World, this might be an opportunity.
I highly recommend women to completelly cover themselves. I also highly recommend men to dress proprly (i.e. avoid wearing shorts).

Sami7, You are Welcomed... ...Doha is a very nice city and place to live in…
Especially for a family, it tends to be small and has not such fun as in LA. of course; however being with you family in a quite lovely city like Doha will be a great fun by itself.
I believe there will be no problems Inshaa Allah; you have to search for the accommodation before you coming, for your luck it is getting lower than before.
Education here is good and you will find high standard schools for your kids, do not worry about that.
