Moving to Qatar
By Loan_Shark on Sun, 18/06/2006 - 2:25pm
Dear all,
I'll be moving from UAE to Qatar within couple of weeks. I don't know much about living in Qatar. I would appreciate if I could get ur feedbacks re renting apt., cars (do I need to change my UAE license?) cost of living and the most important dos and donts that you came to know through living there.
ThanksÂ

Apartments are on the rise ...Apartments are on the rise price wise so for a two bed it will be around 4500-6000 U/F and for the new buildings most of these are small i looked at one the other month and i could fit a bed in the one room and the rest of the stuff would of had to have gone in the other. Try qatar e government website on your driving as having a UAE one might be different but if not you can get a temp qatar one it lasts for six months or get a international one which also lasts for six months if you are staying over here it is just a case of waiting for your residence then you can have a full qatar one. Do's and don'ts are do not show affection in public and do not walk around with out your shirt on for example other than that not alot else petrol is cheaper then water and we rent a car at the moment for about 2000qr a month hope this is helpful
