New Years Eve in Doha

Hello,
We will be in Doha Dec 29-Jan3 and were wondering where are the great places to go for New Years Eve. We are an American family aged 23-50 staying at the Four Seasons. The hotel has a dinner buffet or 5 course meal, but it sounds a little uptight for our group. Does anyone have any specific suggestions for where to ring in the New Year?

Party time in Doha..... ...Sorry to say if you want a romping good time, your choice of Doha to ring in the new year was a clinker.....

Check with the big hotels... ......some of them have to be doing something significant for NYE. Maybe not a huge blowout, but something.

Sheraton ...Me and a few friends are probably going to the Waterhole Bar in the Sheraton hotel. Not getting our hopes up too high, but it is first come first serve on the tickets (no advance purchase), so it's not booked up. QR150 gets you in the door with 2 drinks. The live music goes from 8pm-3am. It's just a little 'hotel bar', but I didn't want to hear techno all night at the diplomic club tent or at qube and the main hotel parties seem too stuffy with all the 5 course and 4 course meals. We just want to hear decent music and booze!
