Qatar Living Get Together!
I am planning a get together for forum users on Qatar Living, get together will be at Chilli's nearby to the Ramada Signals. Hopfully we will be meeting next Thursday (28/12/06) and 8 pm. After dinner at applebee's those who are non muslims or would like to go for a drink will make there way to Rydges bar.
The reason i believe we need to have a get together is because this forum is growing daily, and users on this forum are either new in Qatar or aren't enjoying their lives socially in Qatar because they are not sure of what to do and where to go.
Having a one night out as a big group will help people mentally and socially, and will help us meet new people of all different ages. Who knows you might marry one of them:P:P hehe...
Chilli's is a great first meeting venue because it is public and everyone cna feel secure there, as well as the food tasting amazing.
If you are interested please let us know as soon as possible, this should be a night you don't want to miss. Thank you

On thurs ...On thurs I'm thinking Chilli's because it is like the perfect fite time meeting place, and afterwards who ever wants to can go to Rydes for a drink together.
I was actually thinking sealine for the week after if this first one is successful, if we go to sealine i will be taking some quads and jet skiis so it should be a good time out...

3 people ...3 people showed. It was quite a dud for the number of people who stated they would venture into the real world. In the end 2 of us played pool for most of the evening enjoying the company of 2 of my beautiful friends. As for those who say they will show on Thurs, just be sure that if you say you will show then actuall take a shower, get dressed in something other than your housecoat, and get away from the house and computer for a few hours. Nobody in Qatar bites from what I have seen. You never know you might even be amused as many of the expat community are quite intersting personalities.

Anyhow since some Muslims have expressed concern, there is NO alcohol at Chili's as it is just a restaurant. American chain food such as steaks, burgers, counrty fried steak (mmm...good)
Rydges is a hotel, Aussie Legend's Bar is on floor 11 and serves alcohol. This will be the place to go to get drinks after dinner on Thurs. or for those not interested in solid food they serve enough liquor so as to drink your evening calories.
Remember that you must pay your pittance to worship this Prophet, ten percent of each of your salaries in lump sum form would be appropriate. Cash or alcohol accepted.

QL Print on Paper ...Ey, I suggest you print 2 or 3 QL signs on A4 paper, net huh. So that everyone in QL community knows that we'll be on taht are or something.
Next, the designers should create a concept QL logo, that we can eventually launch, put GulfTimes, Peninsula, etc...yeah further promote the gig on QL.

No pink shirts ...I went to the last gathering (one of the three!) dressed resplendently in a pink shirt and confidently walked over to a table where everyone was dressed in pink. Thinking that they were a table of Qatar Living people, I joined them. I made friends with what turned out to be some nice boys from Qatar airways! Later, I managed to mince over to the pool table where Tyler and Alex were entertianing a couple of South African beauties. Dare I show my face again at Rydges?

hi all! ...Hey everyone =( on wednesday night at about 8pm i got in to an accident, a major one. At the traffic lights near ramada a nissan patrol came flying and hit me full on from the side, i suffered a broken leg and stitches to my head. Im really sorry I didn't show up but im not sorry you guys had fun! I did all I could ot make sure you enjoyed yourselves I called chilli's ten times asking them to make sure you all sit together which they assured me you would. THank you for everyone that went and i hope no one is annoyed or feels betrayed by me. I planned this event hoping to meet you all, and making this event an event to remember.
From what i read it seems you all enjoyed your time and more then three people showed up, even though i wasn't there knowing everyone had fun and enjoyed themselves makes me feel like i was there and proud ot have organised an event like this, which has also encouraged me to make future get togethers where i know for a fact more people will attend!
Thank you all for showing and enjoying your selves. I couldn't have wished for anymore then a group of people talking, laughing and socialising with each other.
