while you are on a ...while you are on a probationary period (3 mths) they let you stay on their fully furnished accomodation in Al Bayyan Garden, the villa is big it has 3 bedroom, big kitchen, living room and dining room and a garage. after 3 mths you have to vacate the place or you'll pay 300 QR per day of stay (i think).

yes internet is available in most of the QP Temp. accomodations ...China Syndrome said
A friend of mine works for ...A friend of mine works for QP, they supplied him and his family with a house ........... he lives and works in Dukhan.
I also heard something about QP moving all the Mesaieed workforce to a giant new purpose built compound in Mesaieed, this is suppose to happen over the next year starting August 08.
Things are changing regarding QP accomodation policy, best you are clear with QP HR before you accept the position as it sounds like you are being quoted the old system.
Friends of mine have been told they WILL move to Mesaieed regardless, housing allowance, transport allowance etc will cease the day of house allocation.
However, if your job is Doha based, there is a good chance your situation will be as darljohn said above, and you will receive an 'insufficient' housing allowance.

China Syndrome ...I doubt if the transport allowance will cease, certainly for SS. Transportation allowance was initially calculated to more or less cover the car loan provided by QP. No transport allowance would mean that staff would have no provision for repaying the loan other than their salary.
If you are correct, it would be a backward step as far as C&B is concerned.

I WAS WONDERING ...After the probation period, QP will give Housing Allowance, but who have to pay for the house deposits??
does QP pay or the employee have to pay?

Nov ...I think that's a definite NO! They wouldn't have me lol.
All they have to do is put themselves in the employee's position and view the situation from the other side.
