Rates of Different Satellite Channels (QR) & How to obtain subscription & from where
I m looking for Satellite / Cable TV other than QCV. Is there an option? If yes what would be the cost & the channels available? I have googled a lot but could find nothing about TV in Qatar other than QCV.

Showbox ...I signed up for the Showbox package. Its around 1000qr deposit then 270qr (approx) per month. You get all the channels and all the pay-per-view movies thrown in. Along with a second subscription in another room. You also get the Showtime DVR with stores up to 40 hours of programmes. So now when I go home I watch what I want, when I want to.

Tatasky Rocks! ...For all the asian, especially Indian sub-continent, viewers Tatasky is the way to go!
Recently picked up a receiver from Bombay and got the thing installed.
Can view all sub-continental channels that you can only dream of in Qatar.
All that for a monthly fee Indian Rupees 300/-, divide that by 12.10 to get the figure in QRS.

Please let me know if you're aware of anyone selling tatasky receivers in Doha.
Few of my friends are willing to buy the receiver at a higher price, if available here.
FYI, tatasky receiver costs approx 4,000 odd rupees. Huge dish thats required to receive signals in Doha costs approx Qrs. 800/- including installation.

i am not sure how it is done in india too.. wat i heard was the tatasky guys come, install it with the disc and code it..later they just get the receiver here as u said..

its great.
