I beg your pardon ...Please clarify what you mean by Nigerian Cellphone spammers, there are honourable Nigerians in Dha, and I take exception to that generalisation.
Spammers are everywhere all over the world, not just Nigerians
Proudly Nigerian

the nigerian scammers ...were actually from Nigeria, its not a racist comment.
I have to share the story a guy called steve jones told me. i think he might even be here in Qatar, maybe.
there was another scam out of Nigeria [ it seems to be a local cottage industry...] to do with bank transfers. Someone would email you and spin a tale about having a large amount of money in an account he couldn't access, and could you help him by depositing it in your account, or something plausible like that. Anyway, plenty of people fell for it, and sent him money to 'facilitate the transfer'....steve turned the tables on the scammer and had him send money to steve instead!!! the scammer scammed!

tokysb ...To clarify, I mean people who are running Cellphone spam out of Nigeria.
I'm not sure what you are taking exception too - the statement was qualified when I said "Nigerian Cellphone spammers". In English this clearly means Nigerians who are involved with cellphone spam.
Of course there are perfectly honourable and honest Nigerians - and in no way did my statement imply otherwise. And I'm sure you will agree that there are some perfectly creative, highly skilled criminals and scammers who are Nigerian.
(of course, there are scammers from all parts of the world - the Nigerians ones just seem to annoy Qatar Living the most)

Greed, thats it!!! ...I believe anyone that falls for the bank account stuff is greedy and wants to reap from where he did not sow. While not encouraging the scammers, to fall for such a cheap scam is greed as well.
Qatari,
I have read between the lines and understood your qualification. Thanks for the clarification anyway, but you know, not many people will read it the way you meant it. Once they see Nigeria, they reacj a conclusion, and you may not be there to explain as you have done here

Anybody else here with Opera on a PC?
Btw. while we are at it, can you PLEASE ban the word "sheebu"??? This nut is much more annoying than Nigerian spammers. I know Drupal has good filtering capabilities.
