cover it up! ...There's nothing wrong or even strange about wanting to cover up in public. Victorian bathing suits were just as modest, and these protect from Uv as well, which is a real problem nowadays. Why assume that thongs and speedos are 'normal'?
"Due to religious beliefs, Muslim women have often been excluded from this aspect of life Down Under, that is, until the invention of a bikini which allows women to cover most of their body.
The "Burkini" as it has been named in the media, is manufactured from UV and water protected polyester.
It covers most of the woman's body except her feet, hands and face, and therefore allows them to swim publicly.

Rochester what is your beef??? ...In which part was I poking fun at the burkini???? you appear in all of your posts so far to have a chip the size of the empire state building on your shoulder.
When you have something constructive to say please do so, if not keep it shut.
You're born, you take s**t. You get out in the world, you take more s**t. You climb a little higher, you take less s**t. Till one day you're up in the rarefied atmosphere and you've forgotten what s**t even looks like. Welcome to the layer cake son.

nope, this isn't a joke!...believe it or not!!! ...is precisely where you were poking fun at it.
...and don't call me 'son'.

YAWN!!!!!! ...If you look, my statement containing the word son is at the end of every post i.e. kind of my digital signature.
As for my nope this isnt a joke....believe it or not is a shocked statement, as in this is fact!!!!
Qatari has decreed that abusive posts such as yours (and yes many people think your posts are just that) will be removed in future. You appear to be an educated person albeit dogmatic and bombastic why dont you use that intilect for a change.
You're born, you take s**t. You get out in the world, you take more s**t. You climb a little higher, you take less s**t. Till one day you're up in the rarefied atmosphere and you've forgotten what s**t even looks like. Welcome to the layer cake son.

Specially designed beaches ...Specially designed beaches for families could also be made in addition to suitable clothes. Men should cover themselves, too.

Rochester...you seem to get ...Rochester...you seem to get defensive at all comments. Calm down. Chill. Have fun. Oh and speedos normal? Yuck.
I think the Burkini is a good idea. Good for them they can join in on the beach activity. I love the beach!

the bikini ...well hey guys am new here, well think the bikini is good for them too, that is if they want to be in the beach.

truth 101 ...would be a better login for you, as you can't even admit to your intention to mock 'covering up' on the beach.
When we are in Queensland, the kids wear bright full-length costumes that protect them from the sun. Those 'burkini' look a lot like them. I always wear a t-shirt over baggy shorts but some people like their arses hanging out for all to see. Maybe we should admit that is severely Abnormal!
sabbiabella said
He wasn't mocking it! I ...He wasn't mocking it! I fully understand what he meant. It's more of a, "what will they think of next?" comment. Stop reading too much into things and accept them for what they are. He did not mean any disrespect to anyone. He is not making fun of it.

Sabbiabella ...Thanks for the defence and you are right, as I tried to explain to Mr. Ignorance Rochester earlier.

could we be more respectful to each other??? ...again, please!! could we be more respectful to each other???
the truth 321! why you have to be so aggressive? Rochester just expressed his thoughts.. why his comment should be "removed"?? Even let's assume he didn't understnd your point of view properly.. is that the reason for you to be so mean to him???
And about the signature.. it is a site developers’ fault that the signature can not be separated from the comment and recognized clearly. So whoever is new on the forum, he/she can easily mix it up with the actual text. In order to be recognized, developers could assign to the signature different font or color..
So again, you just could explain it to him without being offencive.
.... please, ALL!!!! again! be polite! nice! respectful!

family beaches? ...You mean like family-only rooms in restaurants in saudi?
Isn't the whole idea of a public beach, as opposed to a private beach from which you can exclude whoever you choose, that everyone, including poor frustrated bachelors and single women, should be able to mingle and enjoy nature together?
If you don't like people ogling, then cover up! You can still enjoy the sun and sea wearing a full-body swimsuit. This 'burkini' just seems to be a variation on that.

why does everyone seem so ...why does everyone seem so impatient in this thread today?
you seem to be atacking one another for no apparant reason, its really not required to get defensive or offensive.
the burkani is a lovely idea for all women who cover up and why shouldnt women like to go to the beach? there is no reason to dislike it.i was not sure about the price, does it seem costly at 125$and above.

Being horrible ...is a lot more fun than being respectful. I say keep up the nastiness.

Uh? ...I don't see anything wrong at all with women wearing the burkani. Very much the opposite, it's a lot better than swiming with regular clothes.
For as long as I can wear my tiny bikinis, then I'm happy with anyone wearing a burkini, a 30's style swimwear, or nothing at all. I couldn't care less about what others wear.
