The 3rd AlJazeera International Documentary Film Festival will be held this week at the Doha Sheraton. There are nearly 100 films from around the world being shown. Entrance is free!

You'll find films in Arabic, Spanish, Urdu, French, Hindi, Russian, Balkar, Bosnian, Gernman, Kurdish, Polish, Kashmiri, Chinese, Indonesian, Farsi, Mandarin, Italian, Bengali and Creole. Most films are subtitled in either English or Arabic.

A South African Cultural Group will perform at the National Youth Theatre in Maamoura on 26 April. Leading the Tembisa Choir is a young vocalist , Ms. Rabia Sayed, who is 22 years old. Accompanied by Tembisia Choir, she presents her latest offering, a collection of songs with out musical instruments about Africa. Rabia & Tembisa Choir are due to release their Album in May. Their performance is the first of its kind in the Gulf.

Rabia was one of the youngest South Africans to have learnt the Quraan by heart at the age of 6 years. She has since recited in numerous events including the South African women’s day celebrations last year for President Mbeki and for President Nelson Mandela. Rabia now songs in English , Zulu, Arabic , Urdu and Farsi.

The South African Embassy hereby invites you to attend this concert on 26 April at 20:00, at the Qatar National Youth Authority Theatre, near the Girls Creativity Centre.

Entrance is free.

At 530 there will be an AusKick session for children under 14 - skills and also games
At 730 there will be a game - the Doha Kangaroos against the Irish Gaelic Footballers - will be a mixture of Aussie Rules Football and also Gaelic Football

There will also be drinks and a BBQ available - bring your friends, children etc and enjoy a great relaxed evening. This is a lead up game for the 27th of May against the Dubai Heat - another Aussie Rules team from Dubai
