An ‘Eclectic Array’ of images by Award-Winning Photographer Cynthia Martone will be hosted by the Doha Marriott Hotel at Café Trottoir on 06 June 2007. Martone is a National Photo Competition Award of Merit Winner and a Pixiport Fine Art First Place Photography Winner. For Cynthia Martone, “Photography is the Projection of the Soul. It is capturing entrancing images that arouse an emotional experience.” Cynthia has a number of different series of works that focus on themes that involve the unadulterated issues surrounding social justice and the absolute power of education. Her eclectic photographic images in black and white and color reflect places, people and the lives they lead from both hemispheres of the globe.

"Freedom Walk for a Cause" a tribute to the 109th Philippine independence Day Celebration.

Locations:Doha Corniche Bay-walk area - Starting from Sheraton hotel
bund area to the Pearl monument, opposite of Emiri Diwan palace.

In the quarterfinals of the FTL Team Tennis Independence Cup, Dangal (team 7) repeated their performance to beat Isla (Team 1) during the elimination round by winning 5 out of 6 matches. Dangal team is rewarded with a semi-final bout against the current leader, Malakas (team 4). In the other semifinal match, Pula (team 3) will meet Asul (Team 2) after the latter demolished Apoy (team 8) in tightly contested quarterfinal, both teams registered 3 wins & separated by 2 game points only. The tournament is organized by the Filipino Tennis League of Qatar in association with Overseas Bechtel Inc., Taisei-TAV-SkyOryx JV & Pocari Sweat. Catch the semi-finals this Friday June 15 starting at 7:00pm at the Khalifa International Tennis Complex. See you there!
