02 / 1 Wheels and Heels 2008 Start: 12:00 End: 18:00 With the aim of involving the entire community in an activity-packed, healthy, fun-filled day, whilst at the same time reminding them of the importance of sports and nutrition for a healthy life, the annual Wheels 'n' Heels event is a winning fixture with young and old. This dynamic event attracts thousands of participants - both on foot or on wheels; including mothers with pushchairs and people in wheelchairs! This year marks a return to the Corniche (near the Sheraton) and will be held in conjunction with the final stage of the Tour of Qatar. A Gala Concert of Classical Arabic music will be performed by the renowned Arabic Music Group of Cairo under conductor Salah Ghobashi. The programme will consist of well-known romantic and folklore songs from various Arab regions and a selection of Arabic instrumental pieces played on traditional instruments.
