Reception Feb. 5, 2008 at 7:30PM more info Qatar Foundation Concert Series : A Gala Concert of Classical Arabic Music conducted by Salah Ghobashi Start: 19:30 End: 21:30 The second concert in the 2008 Qatar Foundation Concert Series, in association with Qatar Shell, will take place in the Qatar National Theatre on Thursday at 7.30pm. A Gala Concert of Classical Arabic music will be performed by the renowned Arabic Music Group of Cairo under conductor Salah Ghobashi. The programme will consist of well-known romantic and folklore songs from various Arab regions and a selection of Arabic instrumental pieces played on traditional instruments. The group will consist of 15 singers and 15 instrumentalists. more info

The meeting is geared to cover issues such as the present status of the relationship, addressing the conflicts that exist and how to promote better cooperation between the two regions.
