Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, the Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting (GOIC) conducts a conference on Knowledge Based Industries (KBI) and Nanotechnology in 11 - 12 February, 2008.

GOIC organizes this event in cooperation with the Arab Industrial Development & Mining Organization (AIDMO) and The Arab Science and Technology Foundation (ASTF). With the participation of international keynote speakers, the conference targets introducing KBIs and diagnosing means and practical mechanisms for enabling GCC member states to launch this industry, further to presenting a comprehensive strategy for GCC in this field.

World Forum starting from February 16 and ending on the 18 at the
Ritz-Carlton Hotel, The Peninsula Qatar reported.

speakers from across the globe will address audiences at the forum and
will cover a number of topics related to the relationship between the
US and the Islamic world.

The meeting is geared to cover issues
such as the present status of the relationship, addressing the
conflicts that exist and how to promote better cooperation between the
two regions.

The Forum has been set up to draw together
prominent leaders in the fields of politics, business, media and
academia, from across the Muslim world and the US.

Religion and International Affairs and of Islamic Studies at Georgetown
University. He is the Founding Director of the Center for
Muslim-Christian Understanding: History and International Affairs in
the Walsh School of Foreign Service. A consultant to the Department of
State as well as corporations, universities, and the media worldwide,
Esposito specializes in Islam, political Islam, and the impact of
Islamic movements from North Africa to Southeast Asia.
