An exhibition of photographs from the recent archaeological excavations undertaken by the Qatar Islamic Archaeology and Heritage Project at the ancient settlement of Al Zubarah. In the 18th and 19th centuries, prior to the emergence of Doha, the fortified city of Al Zubarah was a major trading centre. This photographic exhibition aims to portray the current work at the site; not as a record of a dead city but from a different perspective – as a living archaeological site, another page in the site’s evolving history. Qatar Badminton Academy (QBA) is all set to re commence its successful and acclaimed training program for the children and junior players. The program would start from 1st April 2010 at Qatar Badminton Club, Doha Rugby Club Annex, near Doha College. Not only the venue is centrally located but also there would be flexibility in the training program to accommodate various requirements.
