Well it seems that Dunestock is going to be on 18th April, despite no official announcement from Doha Players or any information about it on the Dunestock website!
I expect that you just buy your tickets on arrival like last year.
Directions can be found in the attached map.

go straight from Industrial ...go straight from Industrial area... go past American base and pass the underbridge... there u have to take left and keep going stright... untill u pass through the pipeline ...
dont remember the names of the places. for names, do consult Marhaba
u can hear dunes singing after this point.. LOL.

It's all on-road until the ...It's all on-road until the last few yards. You wont get lost in the dunes. The directions in the link I put in the original post are perfectly adequate.

No, the off-road is very ...No, the off-road is very short and it's hard rubble rather than sand, so you shouldn't need a 4x4. The speed bumps on the road leading up to it are more of a problem than the off-road section!!!

The singing sanddunes are ...The singing sanddunes are less than a hundred yards from a road. You don't need a 4x4. Trust me, I've got to them in an Nissan Altima before!

Someone said that tickets are QR50, but I can't confirm that. However much it is, the money goes to help rebuilding the Doha Players theatre.

Since Salwa road is closed ...Since Salwa road is closed in places it's probably easier to go via Wakra.

Prices have been confirmed at QR50 for adults and kids 12 and over. QR20 for kids under 12.

there were couples and ...there were couples and sadly a lot singles.. mostly male :( .. i arrived there late by 8pm .. just when one kickas8 band was playin with or without u...
dunestock is special because its the one of its kind in dis desert we live in and the special thing is its actually in da desert and portrays how desert living can be fun lol.
btw these performers are all rocking coz they do it for no interest of their own but for the love of art and theatre.. all the funds are forwarded to doha players for useful acts.
its a beautiful experience for a change and next year spicy (assuming u a she) u should be with me so that the other ladies there dont call me a freak for staring at their racks.. oops... :)
