After the 1st phase of collection of Donations, I am still receiving calls on my mobile and several PMs from generous people to accept their donations and distribute to the needy labourers.
I cannot say NO to all those who are still willing to donate.
Today I spoke to the Company representative and they have no objection in receiving donations for their needy people.
Please note I will be again availble on the same collection point on Saturday 3rd May 2007:
I will be available in the parking of a new under construction next to NBK showroom :
Car Park BY the Mercedes showroom on Salwa Rd.

Just back from the HBK Labour Camp ...I just wanted to Thank you once again to everyone of for your contributions and support to our QL Appeal for the needy labourers.
The labourers who were effected in the blaze has requested me to say "THANK YOU & God Bless You All" who helped them with their generous donations.

Baedaebok their main requirement are food items ...avoid toiletries.

baedaebok.. ...i think food stuff is a good idea to donate.. clothes they have now enough from QLer and other donors.
Dry food items such as rice/wheat etc ,,, or powder juices such as Tang etc.. will be good.
Even some people donated Kitchen utensil such as plates/kettles/ tea cups etc..
So it's upto you or feel free to call me.

Eco... ...Ind. area 27 is their new labour accommodation which was supposed to be ready bu end of June 2008 but due to this disaster HBK on emergency basis arranged the electricity connection and window ACs to accommodate as many they can .. initially we were able to move only 200 labourers, today i was told the almost everyone who were effected in the balze has been moved.
I had a brief meeting with HBK Supervisor and he briefed me . Also he showed me the amount they paid (QR.750/- each) to the labourers.
In Short HBK is distributing all the donations received to the needy labourers only, and i am confident about it.
For your info. I will pay a visit to Ind. area 27 after few weeks and talk to the labourers directly to ensure if everything is fine with them.
Rest Allah knows better.

In fact I have some more donation received by some of my collogues which I couldn’t bring with me tonight, so Speed advised me to go directly to the camp and drop it yourself and when I saw some posts by speed advising them food stuff to donate, I asked him…….
Well, since u didn’t know all this, I was not expecting a reply from you…
And what did u mean by DIDN’T SHOWN UP TODAY AS WELL???…. For your information I went there on the first drop off also, but returned back a bit earlier due to some reasons…. but I was there on the first day AS WELL…
