Friday 16th May 2008
Come
and browse through an eclectic collection of crafts and creations by
Doha Artisans. Some quality second hand treasures will also be
available.
A percentage of proceeds will be going to Aschiana, a program to help street children in Afghanistan.
When: Friday 16th May 2008 from 9am - 12noon
Where: The Clubhouse, Cascades East Compound
If
you are interested in becoming a vendor, or would like to donate to the
book stall or the children's clothing/toy stall, then please contact
Nikki Lane at lunalillies/-a-t-/hotmail.com or call 501 5389.
Please pass on to anyone else you think might be interested in coming along.
Directions to Cascades East
If
you are coming from the Salwa Road go past Ramada Junction, go over the
flyover to Decoration round-about. Take a left at Decoration round-about.
*
Go straight through the next round-about. This road is under major
construction - watch out for the raised drains scattered along the
road. Turn right at a temporary round-about made of red and white
plastic barriers. If you see a little inlet of shops on your left you
have gone to far. Take the 2nd road on the right (you will see some
iron boarding in red white and blue just before the turning on right).
Go straight along this road until you see Cascades East Compound on
your left (it is the first and only compound on the left-hand side of
the road). Park inside the compound unless it's full in which case
you'll have to park on the road and walk in.
To get to the
clubhouse you need to go to the childrens play area which is at one end
of the compound with a pointed roof. Walk on either side of the play
area and then go down the pathway between the houses to other side of
compound. You will see a tennis court. Walk beside the tennis court and
go down the steps into the clubhouse.
If you are coming from the
industrial area on Salwa Rd, when you hit decoration round-about take a
right. Then follow the directions from *
If you are coming from
Al Waab Street towards decoration round-about, go straight across Salwa
Road (straight across the round-about). Follow directions from *
