Couldn't resist posting this. A whole festival dedicated to asparagus!?! And it runs for 10 days!?! And who says there's nothing to do in Qatar!!!

Thanks for info ...Asparagus is graceful material for flower arrangement.
Indianised Asparagus
500 gm asparagus-cut into 2-3
pieces and blanched
2 tbsp clarified butter (ghee)
1 tsp cumin seeds1
tbsp ginger-finely sliced1/2 tsp garam masala1 1/2 tsp coriander
powder1 1/2 tsp salt1/2 tsp red chillies-coarsely pounded1/2 tsp
turmeric powderroasted white sesame seeds for garnish
Method: Heat
the clarified butter, add cumin, followed by ginger and saute lightly.
Lower the flame, add the garam masala, coriander, salt, turmeric and
chillies. Stir a few times until well mixed. Serve hot garnished with
the sesame seeds.
