Distinguished Lecture Series at Georgetown Qatar CIRS : John J. Mearsheimer and Stephen M. Walt

On Tuesday evening, June 17, 2008, Professor John J. Mearsheimer of the University of Chicago and Professor Shephen M. Walt of Harvard University of will discuss their book The Israel Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy at the Diplomatic Club in Doha.

The Israel Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy was published in 2007 in the United States and is an elaboration of an article the two authors published in 2006 in the London Review of Books.

I missed it! Maybe next time! Does the book go into great detail about how Israel is behind all the evil in the world? "If it wasn't for Israel, the world would be a safer place"...kind of reasoning.

I'm going to have to send an email to the folks running the program. I think it is a great program and was able to see John L. Esposito last spring and definitely would've made this one, except I didn't get an email. I know I signed up after the last lecture to be put on the mailing list. Oh well, better luck next time.
